FORESEE
Project Foresee is a rethink on the numbers that we use, the braille numbers used by people who can't see and questions the need of a new system of numbers that is common for all.
How does the ingenious fusion of braille and conventional number representation create a visual system bridging the gap between the sighted and the blind?
Project highlights:
Conceptual design, Awareness campaigns, industrial design, printing techniques, material
Have we ever thought about whether the numbers we are using are actually universal?
Are we not just finding alternative methods to make it accessible to everyone living on this planet?
The representation of numbers in this project is a combination of braille & general number representation, evolving into a visual system to bridge the gap between the sighted and the blind.
circles used in the braille system are placed in their usual position. so, people who can't see don’t have to re-learn how to read these numbers, for people who can see finds similarities with the numbers they have been using so it is not a difficult task for them to remember this new system as well.
Foresee will create more awareness in people who can see by making them understand the language used by more than 2.2 Billion people around the world who are visually impaired or unable to see from their eyes.
The universality of a language always creates a sense of inclusivity and ease of understanding the systems that surround us and currency is an element that is used by every part of society.
People use public transport in their daily life. Making people feel self-dependent in terms of numbers will always create a sense of happiness for everyone.
